The Personal Property Deputy Assessor's job is to answer taxpayers questions and interprets that laws, rules, and regulations regarding personal property. Prepares tax declarations and records for processing. Enters assessment lists and related data into computer system to facilitate tax billing function.
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepares
records for processing by verifying accuracy and completeness of information.
Places values on property declared on tax assessment sheets using approved
value guides.
Assists taxpayers in completing assessment lists and calculating taxpayers
questions and
complaints both by phone and in person.
Documents address changes in computer files and other office records.
Files and alphabetizes assessment sheets for processing and file storage.
Performs all other related duties as assigned.
